The Pentacle of Iron is a tool developed in the Anderson Feri Tradition. It is used in other traditions, especially the Reclaiming Tradition, and we have adapted it to our own uses. It is a valuable tool for connecting with the sources of power that inhere in the individual. Working with the Iron Pentacle can help us to understand these powerful forces and to manifest them in ways that honor both ourselves and others. Western cultural conditioning, especially within the Christian religious tradition, makes many people suspicious of such things as "pride" and "sex", but there are positive and healthful ways of working with these energies and of realizing their inherent, natural beauty. When we work with these concepts, we do so within the ethical scope of the High Rede: Harm none and do as you will. Working with the Iron Pentacle is a means of knowing oneself on the primal level and of bringing those primal energies into alignment with one's ethical and magical will. Sex, Pride, Self, Power and Passion then become agents of the highest good and enrich both the individual and his or her communities.
